My fave Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter spent the entire 10s racking up acclaimed project after acclaimed project but I don’t claim The Cartels or The Curse so let’s just say B’Day, 4, BEYONCÉ and Lemonade make four

I love my fave for who they are and their talent, not for what critics think.

4 is literally one of the best R&B albums ever made, Love On Top is beloved and has more streams than 90% of Fad’s discography* plssss make it make sense

*despite never reaching the top ten

The Weeknd has 4. Should be 5 but Kissland was somehow slept on so much.

Kanye also has 4. Borderline 5 if we count Graduation or even 808s.

Graduation is his second best album and I’m a music critic so I think you should count it

Yeezus, MBDTF, Graduation, College Dropout, Late Reg and 808s were all well-received, I thought, and so was Watch the Throne which pretty much counts, so well done him with 7

But my fave (Bowie obvs) has 13, it would seem. Out of 27. 3 were rightly panned (self-titled, Tonight, Never Let Me Down), 5 received perfectly fine/good reviews but nothing wowing (Lodger, Heathen, Reality, Hours, Earthling), and the others were just experimental mess.

I tried to google it, but I still don't have a clear answer. How do you know if an album is critically acclaimed or not. Is it awards, nominations, sales??

It may be a stupid question but I I earnestly don't know

...I’m with Mokka, I don’t know either ...mine would have been David Bowie as well but as Shaun has him, I’ll say Joni Mitchell as another favourite..I don’t know all of the albums which would be described as critically acclaimed...

Yeah. I would say at least 5 on revision even 6.

Can’t lie. I forgot all about WTT, which is weird as it was one of my fave concerts I’ve been to

His discog is certainly up there in terms of modern artists for sure.

The simplest way would be to enter the artist name into Metacritic and then just catch the vague reaction to their albums from there.

I heard Britney ghost wrote Fetch the Bolt Cutters, but it wasn’t to her standards so she let Fi have it
