A North Of England Reporter
for the Guardian
on Politics Live BBC2HD
(PMQ's the only day the BBC do that show now)
claims bosses in Leicester are Not separating workers
in a clothes factory.

Hence, the high Covid-19 infection there.

These reports of spikes are just stupid.
3 of the northern areas on the list are classed as high, 100%spike.
They have had ONE new case each in the past fortnight.

Johnson just seems to have a mental block of being in permanent almost denial.
He really has no genuine answers here just sidestepping speeches.

Just answer directly the questions for goodness sake.

He's off on an election speech now of all we got from him yesterday.
What an utter shambles.

Covid in Netherlands, main changes from July 1

https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/0...s-from-july-1/

Quote:
*The 1.5 metre social distancing rule remains the norm, as do hygiene measures, including washing your hands regularly. If you have symptoms, stay home and get a test.

*Children up to the age of 12 do not have to keep their distance from adults, which means they can again hug their grandparents.

*Children aged 12 to 18 do not have to keep their distance from their peers, but must stay 1.5 metres from adults, apart from their parents.

*The 1.5 metre social distancing rule will no longer apply on public transport – as long as people are seated – but masks will remain compulsory.

*People can also sit next to each other in coaches and non-family groups can travel in the same car. Masks are recommended.

*Outdoor events will no longer have a maximum number of visitors as long as social distancing is observed and people are seated and have booked places in advance. Without reservations, the limit is 250.

*Indoor events have a limit of 100 people excluding staff. Seating is compulsory. However, if spaces have been reserved in advance, and visitors answer questions about their health, and observe the 1.5 metre rule, there is no limit on the number of guests.

*Stadiums such as the Kuip and Arena can reopen for events, as long as people keep 1.5 metres distance and do not sing or chant.

*Cafe terraces can ditch the 1.5 metre rule between tables, if they place protective screens instead.

*Coffee shops, which had been confined to takeaways only, can also function as a cafe again.Sex workers can start work again, as long as they keep to protocols.

*Saunas, ports schools and gyms can reopen, and competitive sports can also resume.

*The limit on visits to people in nursing homes is also being lifted. However, night clubs and discos remain closed and singing in large groups, including in churches, remains banned because of the risk of infection.
some of our easing down measures starting as of today here in Netherlands

Furthermore, after a long series of really good in the main Speakers.
I have to say, the present one is already a dismal disappointment.

Terrible choice in my view.

These numbers aren't great guys. I don't think you're going to get them averaging under 100/day before they start edging back up.

there are pockets of the virus, but the vast majority of England is fine. If there was going to be a spike then it would have happened by now in london for sure. I'm not going to lie, i think the relaxing of the distancing is dumb and I think the numbers will go back up when the pubs open up

Another day with deaths of 176 this time, over 300 deaths in the last 3 days.

Not a mention from this pathetic PM or his Ministers as to condolences to those bereaved.
Like these are routine deaths of less and less importance to them.

Around 700 deaths last week.

I'm sorry but I find this disgraceful that any PM and government can be so uncaring to not even publicly reveal sympathies to the bereaved.

By all powers that be, this government for its lack of understanding and compassion on these deaths, thousands unnecessary too.
This government needs a massive condemnation of these losses of important loved ones by any future investigative body, which will investigate the handling of this pandemic.

It should be, and already is to me for one, a national scandal.
