Absolute garbage..

The clapping gave everyone a focus whilst we were in the strictest lockdown, it made people happy and brought communities together, I think you have muddled up clapping with xmas decorations in the garden.

The clapping did nothing but fuel delusions that people were balancing the scales for when they treated the lockdown like a joke and flouted it at every opportunity they got. It didn't unify jack****, it did absolutely nothing.

It's just virtue signalling bull****, it's reducing the NHS as a prop to show off how good and kind you are on Twitter and Facebook. All the while the government that these clapping morons voted in is carrying on the destruction of the NHS and making out that the claps are good compensation for the sacrifices made by NHS staff.

The NHS didn't need the country to clap, they needed them to stay indoors, watch a bit of Netflix and adhere to the ****ing lockdown. Nothing more, nothing less but no, that was too difficult so they got a useless gesture instead.

Why do you care so much about what other people do though

Because now, after all their sacrifices, NHS workers are pretty much expected to accept meaningless and empty gestures as the thanks they get while their work is undone by morons who think it's all over when it isn't.

You’ve just summed it up, it brought people together. Didn’t help the NHS one bit though. Did the claps give them prober PPE? Give them a deserved pay rise?

I felt the first clap which was organised by an ordinary person was sweet. However it was hijacked by the government to hide that they’re in fact not showing support to the health care sector at all.

The first clap was fine, but when it got to people gathering on Westminster Bridge to clap and ITV trying to guilt people into donating cash it was a no from me

Did they ever reveal how much the collected?

It was hijacked by the media more to the point
