He went on question time (I think it was) and expressed some views that I imagine WERE real but that people didn't like and it damaged his PR. Instead of going for damage control, he suddenly re-emerged on Twitter as a Hopkins style "shock commentator", swearing at people like a 90's edge lord having a mid life crisis.
