If they were to do a redemption season for all of the queens who went home first, who do you think would win?
I know on paper it would seem like a dull cast but there's comedy talent in Kelly Mantle and Tempest DuJour, some good looks in Dahlia and perhaps Alisa, and some pretty unique queens in Dax, Laila, Jaymes and Porkchop. Venus would bring some silly drama, too

Omitted Shangela and Vanjie from the poll because they returned (multiple damn times), and also included both of the S8 double elimination queens because Naysha returned after them.

I wouldn't mind Laila McQueen. It looks like she improved a lot and she should have shantay that week she got sent home.

Probably Laila, she seems like she's evolved quite a bit and she's one of the bigger fan faves of the bunch. I wouldn't be shocked to see her on a regular AS series as a surprise like India
I'd root for Kelly though

I think Jaymes would do well.
I think the judges just thought she was weird in her season. If she got a few episodes to get comfortable I think she would start to flourish.

With the focus on acting challenges lately and the de-emphasis on design challenges, I think Kelly would be a shoo in for a top three spot barring any rigga moris.
Kelly, Jaymes, Laila and Tempest would be my guess at a top 4. Last edited by Tom4784; 29-07-2020 at 02:24 PM. |

quickly before MB puts 2000x the effort into this, here's a quick imagining of the series:
Episode 1 - The Biggest Loser - the 12 queens have to design a look from scratch that incorporates a "weight loss reveal"; they first design an outfit for a body suit they must wear, and then strip it off and present a second look underneath. Dax surprises everyone with a Beast from X-Men becoming Mystique look and wins the challenge. Tempest DuJour is visibly triggered and struggles, landing in the bottom two with Alisa Summers, who wears an outfit entirely made out of breastplates. Tempest sends her home to "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie. Episode 2 - Since U Queen Gone - a tribute to their early departures, the queens perform a Kelly Clarkson musical (this isn't meant as a fatshaming challenge carrying on from episode 1 ok?) as she guest judges. Soju is uncomfortable dancing and fumbles through most of the performance, whilst Kelly Mantle sucks up to her namesake and delivers a winning comic wig reveal during 'A Moment Like This'. Penny Tration lands in the bottom with Soju for forgetting most of the lyrics, and Soju sends her packing to "Walk Away". Episode 3 - VH1's Bad Squirrels Club - the queens have an acting improv challenge to get rowdy and raucous in a parody of Bad Girls Club. The plot is paper-thin, and so is Dahlia's acting; she lands in the bottom two for refusing to match Porkchop's physicality in a partnered scene. Porkchop wins the challenge for punching Venus in the chest. Soju lands in the bottom again, and lipsyncs against Dahlia to "Boss Bitch" by Doja Cat. Dahlia destroys her. Episode 4 - Winning Makeovers - as winner of the mini-challenge, Tempest gets to assign all of the remaining 9 queens a winner from a previous season of Drag Race to makeover. She chooses Jinkx for herself, and places high for their runway comedy. Tempest sabotages Dahlia by partnering her with Bebe Zahara Benet, whilst unforeseen beef between Magnolia and Chad Michaels sees their family resemblance fall apart. Jaymes Mansfield wins the challenge with her hometown sister Trixie Mattel, painting themselves as eerily realistic puppets. Dahlia becomes something of a lipsync assassin, sending Magnolia home to "Million Dollar Bill" by Whitney Houston. Episode 5 - Snatch Game of Love - the All Stars parody of the original challenge makes its way over to First Boots, and it is surprisingly strong with Kelly, Tempest, Laila and Jaymes all doing well. Venus talks up her Madonna to an excruciating degree, and bombs after spending most of the time making awkward Malawi jokes. Dax offers a serviceable Halle Berry as Storm, but controversially lands in the bottom two over Porkchop's mortifying Lurch from the Addams Family. Dax and Venus duke it out to Lizzo's "Cuz I Love You", with Dax narrowly snatching the win. Kelly wins Snatch Game as Jennifer Coolidge. Episode 6 - The Olympic Ball - because we live in a timeline where no one knows when the next Olympic games will actually take place, the queens are tasked to present 3 looks loosely attributed to the Olympics. Two can be brought from home: 'Figure Skating Realness', and 'Beat Athlete' where they must glam up any other form of sport. The third must be constructed from conventional materials, under the theme of 'Greek Goddess'. Dahlia destroys all 3 categories and takes an easy win, with a memorable fencing look in the 2nd category. Porkchop and Kelly land in the bottom two, with Tempest also placing low - but the two lipsync to ABBA's 'The Winner Takes It All'. It's a turning point for the series as both had been performing well, but in the end Porkchop struggles to outperform Kelly. Episode 7 - At Home With... - the top six queens are horrified to learn the 6 eliminated girls are brought back to partner up and perform together as daytime TV hosts. The show is intended as a parody of Good Morning America, Lorraine, etc, but Dax misunderstands the asssignment and leads Soju into a cringeworthy parody of The View/Loose Women, exchanging cold looks and a ton of dead air. Tempest and Porkchop are naturals and easily win the challenge, whilst Jaymes' awkward sense of humour, partnered with a frosty Venus D'Lite, puts her in the bottom. Other challenge highlights include Kelly Mantle being informed, live on air by Alisa Summers, of Robbie Turner's car crash, and Laila McQueen & Magnolia fighting lustily over celebrity guest Antoni Porowski. Jaymes and Dax lipsync to "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles, and Jaymes' bouncy routine ensures a comfortable win. Episode 8 - Space Ghettos - 5 queens remain, and Laila is visibly shaken over not winning any challenges yet. The queens are tasked with writing their own verses for a Spice Girls parody, with Mel C guest judging. Dahlia's "Fire Spice" is a little two-dimensional but she nails the choreo and narrowly escapes the bottom; Laila finally steps up and wins the challenge as 'Emo Spice'. Tempest and Jaymes land in the bottom, and Tempest is comfortably beaten in a lipsync to "Who Do You Think You Are?" Episode 9 - Send In The Clowns - A comedy challenge at top four brings all kinds of accusations of production bias! The queens have to perform a 3 minute act on stage to an audience of randoms plucked off the street, after taking coaching from 3 clowns and Bianca Del Rio. Dahlia surprises absolutely nobody by bringing out her broccoli costume, and isn't able to land jokes as comfortably as Jaymes - who wins the challenge by a landslide. Laila ends up in the bottom with Dahlia, and the two lipsync to 'Circus' by Britney Spears. It's a raunchy performance, and narrowly won by Laila. Dahlia is visibly pissed off. Kelly Mantle and Jaymes Mansfield go into the final with 2 wins apiece, whilst Laila has just the one but is fan favourite. The queens lipsync two more times, first to whatever **** RuPaul is flogging at the time, and then 'This Is Me' from the Greatest Showman. In the end, the winner is announced as Jaymes Mansfield, and everyone is reasonably happy with that and the fans quickly move on to demand a "second eliminated queens" season.

I choose to believe that the Jaymes Mansfield-Dax Exclamation Point lip sync was inspired by this seminal piece of modern art

Probably Kelly but I'd be really interested to see how Dax would do as I felt like she had a lot of untapped potential

I was generally just thinking of song titles that reference the challenge somewhat (ie the queens being TV stars) but yes, that Asia O'Hara performance never drifts far from my mind
I wouldn't mind an excuse to bring Naysha back tbh, her neon runway was 10/10 and she did pretty damn good in the lipsync against Chi Chi (just... not as good, obviously)
