Smithy not being able to sit down with his folks and pick out the toys he wants for christmas, so he's resorted to sending them his onlyfans wishlist instead. Sad times.

aw end of an era, but they are superflous now, that said some of the autistic children I used to work with wouldn't be without one, it used to have very calming effect, it had to be the Argos catalogue so I hope they stock up

I think it's sad.
I know a lady who is in her 70s.

She wouldn't know and wouldn't want anything to do with online shopping.

She always goes into town and gets each new catalogue when they come out.

So she can browse it at leisure all through at home, then choose anything she may want.
Also preferring to pay cash in store when next in town.

Not everyone is internet orientated.
I've got to say, when I've gone to Argos for myself or others.
I've enjoyed flicking through the catalogue in the store.
So not a good move I'd say this, in my view.

I'm sure Ammi will find a new way to shop though, joey.

I remember when my mum and dad used to get the new catalog, I was allowed to cut stuff out and glue it onto some paper to make a house xD

I know it's not the same but they're all archived online! http://dev.argosbookofdreams.co.uk/

it's the feel of the book though, and walking around with it and flipping the pages for some kids

'The laminated book of dreams'.

(Although the catalogue you could take home wasn't laminated of course.)

Good
Argos is crap anyway, I remember as a kid looking through items but now there's so many options.

Amazon is slowly wiping out most places because it tends to have most things that you're looking for.

It's sad though as I remember getting loads of my Toys from Argos as a kid.

Argos is part of Sainsbury’s now, maybe all the Argos stores will be phased out, no need for the catalogue then.
My kids would spend hours going through the little book of dreams, we always had to have 3 copies.

...even in the BC days Before Covid, I was a bit put off by the laminated books with how many people must have touched them before...it always creeped me out a bit...I loved the little magical shute though that everything came down......huge, huge boxes and packages from such a tiny magical cylinder...

.
