the big question is did Boris get the timing right on easing the lockdown to allow a less devastating recovery. Only time will tell

Im eating out more now. Doing my bit to help the economy.
It's way too hot to go to the cinema, but I will definitely go when it's cooler.

Only once we can fully understand both the pandemic and the impact of the measures that were taken – after one to two years at least – can we then begin fairly to judge what was done correctly.”

it really doesn't matter how deaths are counted, it's meaningless as i have said right from the start.

That's not me be unsympathetic or uncaring, I'm just being realistic. The virus will kill a certain % of people in the same proportions throughout the world until there is an effective treatment or a vaccine. That may sound harsh but its true. The government can't force people to social distance so there will be further deaths, each person has to take their own responsibility for their actions

How could elderly residents of a supposed Care Home take responsibility for their own actions..
Especially if they have mild or worse dementia.

If others march in with the virus.
As was the case when the advice was to clear the hospitals of the elderly to free up beds.

With no testing, then sending them back to Care homes with the virus.

How could those other residents then as YOU say all should, take responsibility for their own actions and save themselves.

For crying out loud!!.

BBC Text :

["The Great British Stink Off" is the headline on
the Daily Star's front page, which says water firms
are pleading with people to cut their usage
after the "staycation heatwave" hit supplies.
Avoiding taking showers is one way of saving water,
but the paper jokes people risk emulating the
hygienically challenged
comic characters Wayne and Waynetta Slob. ]
