Ok LT yeah I get that. I also get how places are set up with covid restrictions etc.

But then even with those in place people are struggling to follow the rules. You cant expect school kids to be able to adhere to it. So those places are still a risk anyway! And bubbles dont work as if kids are in different year groups, the parents are in different places of work. Then thats quite a few bubbles going on

Yeah I get it.....but im sad....and i want to rant....my father in law hasnt been able to see us since the start of this year and we have a baby thats coming on to 6 months old and he still hasnt seen him and seen his nana once in that amount of time too

They were sheilding then once sheilding was over they were in lockdown then now we are in lockdown.

So yes i get it. I hope it works and numbers go down. But we are all allowed to be upset and frustrated.

numbers might go down only after a vaccine

so we need a second, third, fourth lockdown, all thx to those anti-maskers *******

Australia is gonna ease down some of its measures

from half october, 6.000 australians can return home from other nations, now that is at 4.000 a week

in total there are still 24.000 australians stranded in other nations

foreigners can still not enter australia, although they are thinking of allowing new zealanders in the country, if they quarantine 2 weeks at first of course

Useless Hancock saying again this morning, .... they are prepared to do all it takes as to dealing with this virus .....

I think the only thing they are and have been prepared on, is that they are prepared to SAY they are prepared to do all it takes.

Lip service and deceit only in fact.

I’m sure I saw something about them being adapted somehow ??

Blackpool will be allowed to continue because it's a place for the poor and working classes.

What do they mean by "second lockdown" though? We know they can't restrict non-Covid NHS services again, it was a complete disaster and has already caused absolute chaos and multiple deaths.

Also would point out that Scottish and English term dates are different; Scottish half term ends the week English half term begins. So would we lock down at different times? Or would the lockdown be "on England's schedule" and create a disadvantage for children in Scotland?

None of it has been well thought through once again.

If they were to propose shutting non-essentials (offices back to WFH where possible, close leisure stuff, dining in, and gathering places) that would be much more sensible. Keep NHS services, schools and retail open.

if we get to the levels we were at in march having implemented social distancing and face masks, it's going to be a dilemma, because even with things opened up, we shouldn't have a high infection rate, and while some may ignore social distancing, the majority are following it ... so some other factor is in play

It's Sturgeons responsibility to impose a second lockdown on Scotland I'd think and not something Boris has control over
