To be fair Zizu...I know you are in Gtr Manx, my son is in school in the lowest risk area and has been off all week due to a positive case ...you are in a higher risk area and ok so far....keep distancing and washing your hands, you could be ok.

Thank you .... I just wish optimism was one of my traits . I just don’t see how I can avoid it - statistically it seems inevitable given the rate of infection in this area and I’m sharing classrooms/corridors with so many young people who out of school hours are behaving as though there is nothing to worry about .

Do you get tests regularly say 3 or 4 a week like the footballers?

there aren't enough testkits for everyone to get tested 3 or 4 times a week

Weird that they can find tests for multi-million £ per year footballers but none for £30k a year teachers I wonder why that is.

maybe they purchase the testkits themselves

and sportspeople overall get tested a lot more, tennis tournaments have been ongoing again, with enough testing, and also wearing face mask upon entering stadium, court and when leaving court also (just during the match without but most of the time then you are at enough distance from each other)

Netherlands:

Hugo De Jonge said ''Quick testing starting begin november''

regions have been taking extra measures now

Amsterdam will close its parks at night to prevent illegal partying by youth
public buildings such as libraries, swimming pools are only open at night for most vulnerable, and forbidden for superspreaders like youth

also Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam are making these same stricter measures

Kennemerland closes areas to prevent partying and takes strict measures at schools, campaigns aimed for Youth, and having special BOA's (police its special forces) to make sure people stick to the rules and otherwise they are authorized to take action and also a return of the cleaning of shopping baskets/carts is being reviewed if they should bring this rule back too

Nope

You can only get tested if you have symptoms

Today the Nutters are back in Central London
Some had banners saying "Stop 5G" - which has nothing to do with
Covid-19.

Around 1000 of them.

Bad policy... not eat out to help out by any chance?
Getting everyone stood beer belly to butt cleavage for a tenner off a microwave chicken curry in wetherspoons?

Not low comparable to the average over the summer. It shows a definite spike.

We are currently on the IoW and eating mainly in pub restaurants as we have doggie with us so eating outside, its hard to see how the virus is being driven in eateries, sanitising hands, ordering on an app or at an empty bar as there is a queuing system, people sitting in small groups, windows and doors open.. details taken for contact tracing in all but one place, if that is replicated across the UK it shouldn’t be an issue eating out
