I fear that you are correct ... and it does seem likely that they will bring in the armed forces sooner rather than later

The truth is the the young people don’t care about is older ones .. .. it may hit home when they start losing their parents and grandparents but even then they will be in denial and blame everyone else apart from themselves ..

I feel sorry for the real old folk who fought or suffered during the war to give these very same youngsters a better life ..

They must feel so very , very disappointed

He's unbelievable this PM, in as many negative ways as is possible.

Contrast his address with the delivery of Nicola Sturgeon.
She came over compassionate and sincere.

I can't really understand why, he's only talked sense that I've seen all day.
That's your view however so I respect that.

The one however who would scare me is the Prime Minister.
Still that's just my view.

He’s a typical wishy-washy waffler ... I cringe every time he opens his mouth ( normally to criticise something well after the event) .

He was on last week’s Question Time and I felt that once again he embarrassed himself.

I see him differently sorry.

I think he far from waffles, he's one who addresses the issue usually in my view.

He was ineffective on QT but far from embarrassed himself.
The screen audience were mostly in agreement with him.

It's always interesting though to learn what others think.
So it's good to have read your input.

There’s always this infamous gaff

Mr Ashworth, who has represented Leicester South since 2011, argued party MPs had "*******ed it up" in 2016 in their bid to remove the Labour leader, saying they "went too early".

Regarded as a key ally of Mr Corbyn, he also suggested that if the Labour leader got into No 10, the civil service machine would "pretty quickly move to safeguard security".

As the recording was aired, the Shadow Secretary of State appeared on the BBC to insist it was all just “banter” with a friend and that he did not mean what he had said and was, in fact, joking

Not forgetting this from not long ago ..

LABOUR'S shadow health secretary Jon Ashworth saw his poorly-timed criticism of the Government's coronavirus response unravel live on-air during an awkward interview on BBC Breakfast, after host Naga Munchetty pointed out that ministers were already doing what he was demanding.

If you’ve got time then ‘this’ is an interesting read

No he didn't.
He has always been more concensus in supporting government action during this covid crisis.

Yes the government were doing the things he indicated needed to however he has always said that efficient testing/track and trace has to be in place at the same time.
To help ensure the success of the measures more.

The track and trace and testing has not been in place and fully operating effectively.
Hence his criticism of the government on that failure to have the adequate testing.
He was spot on.

There's no reasoned pundit who is ever saying this government had done even fairly well never mind well as to the testing.
So Ashworth's point of the measures he supports but needing the efficient testing in place at the same time.
Was and remains totally valid.
