Default How old is your bed?

Mine is six years old and still feels in good condition.

It was only £70.00 on EBay but it's lasted well.

I was snug as a bug in a rug last night. I have a double duvet. Warm as toast.

The bed frame is pretty old, probably about 18 years old but it's still solid. We only got a new mattress last year

Mattress about 2 years, the bed frame I don't know. About 8 - 10 maybe?

We got new mattresses for all of the beds a few years back - decent ones listed as "cut price" on eBay... literally 1/3 the price of retail, brand new in packaging... the guy (dodgy looking ****er) brought them himself, from Manchester (200+ miles) in a clapped out old van, and insisted he could only take cash.

So... my whole family probably sleeps on stolen mattresses.

My mattress is getting on a bit! I use a mattress topper over a thin duvet so it's more squashy, but it's still starting to wear out.

Frame is about 5 years old. I made it by sanding down wooden pallets and attaching them together.

Is it bed years or human years?

Cause I keep telling mine it's only 4, but it keeps arguing that its 9 in bed years.

Why do so many people have a frame that's newer than the mattress? That's just odd. Like you don't NEED to replace a frame unless you break it but you do replace a mattress every so often... wouldn't you get a new mattress if you were getting a new frame?

Unless y'all're demolishing bedframes left right and centre with aggressive sex or morbid obesity or both.

Or maybe people are upgrading to a double bed?

Or doing better at work and replacing a cheap crap one with a nice one?

Though in either case, especially the former, having a mattress which is older is a bit odd.

I dont think I've ever built a bed without falling asleep half way through downstairs on the comfy couch for an hour so.

Our bed frame is a hand made 4 poster we had made with an inheritance, got a new mattress this year and we both hate it after paying nearly £500 for it
