I'm so glad to hear that Josy.
I know the anxiety and even fear felt waiting for test results.

It's really horrible.

So glad you got the better news, bless him.

We arent allowed into the home (no one is) and the residents are isolating in their own rooms, the home he is in has been really good following the guidelines from the beginning of this tbf to them, this particular outbreak was caused due to a staff member having it without symptoms and they were great with letting us know straight away and keeping us updated the whole time.

On the other hand there is a different care home near us and an outbreak was reported yesterday with 18 residents testing positive within a few days, they must be ignoring guidelines somewhere imo.

That must’ve felt so worrying Josy but I’m very glad that he’s tested negative and I hope that you all are feeling a little bit more relaxed now.

Well I'm sorry, but it cant be the residents..so if its not dodgy flu jabs it can only be the carers.

So what now for them all?

Since no one else has bothered to address your mounting panic here Zizu; this is 2000 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, not 2000 deaths in recent weeks. There have only been a few hundred deaths TOTAL in Scotland since the start of the 2nd wave.
