This Government as with every Tory Government as far back as I know of want the very rich and the very poor. They have nothing but contempt for us.

As the political row over free meals continues Manchester United are putting their money where their mouths are and delivering meals to the most in need.

Boris has just been on the news spouting his usual nonsense about admiring Rashford etc. Yet he disrespects him in the worst way. Creep.

All Johnson can do is deceive and blatantly lie Kate.

Sadly there's those who it doesn't matter what he does, he can do no wrong.
Because it suits their own hard-line agenda.

No empathy whatsoever.

Exactly.

That's really stressful and scary.
I've never been there myself but I know those who are in that position.

It's easy to say help is there, getting it is not so easy.
As often when it's claimed you don't get it, or all of it.

Plus claiming takes time.
If you're hungry and needing help now, it's needed now.

Shocking.
Even more surprising is there's people who believe every word this PM says.
When he wouldn't know what's true or decent in any shape or form politically.

He's really been able to be successful in one thing..
He's fed into and opened up most of the opinions of his most hard-line and heartless supporters.
That's for sure

Yup, unbelievable.

Footballers in general get such an unfair rep most of the time.

It's an observation. I'm sure if I could be bothered, I'd find a lot. But I can't, so I won't.

22 footballers? People from all walks of life fail to follow lockdown guidelines every day.

Marcus is from one of the most impoverished areas in Manchester....he has experienced and seen real child poverty most likely. Its all very well saying he is rich so should put his hand in his pocket but that's just rubbish. Child poverty needs addressing and eradicating and that needs to be done at Government level. The stats on child poverty are beyond depressing.

No I didn't. ..it was suggested that he shouldn't have a say on contemporary political issues because he's only a footballer. That's why I raised other non political figures who regularly comment on and are even invited on shows to discuss politics.

You could make it up because you are making up the intentions of my posts... maybe you'd like to clarify what makes him a tit to remove any confusion?

Ditto Kate, which is now I'm working the thought of my tax helping others makes me really happy!

They should raise taxes and have everyone contribute fairly instead of letting some off paying tax and only those without offshore accounts paying. Then the govt would have no excuse not to fund these things.

Do you think his accountant is not doing all he/she can to avoid paying tax?

Completely irrelevant. He will still be paying far more tax than some people earn in a year no matter what loopholes his accountant can find. He has still stepped up. Regardless of your football loyalties, surely you can appreciate what he is trying to do? 10 years ago he lived on an impoverished council estate in Wythenshawe.....now he's trying to give something back to not only the community he came from but also the wider community nationally.

He doesn't have the right political leaning or skin colour so he should just shut up and be a footballer, apparently.

I find it really worrying people can think so cruelly.
Always judging the poorest as the scrounging scavengers, never content with the scraps thrown to them.

While in reality the truth of what is filtered away by the so called deserving elite, will be glossed over and/ or dismissed.

I find it really sad and worrying there are unfortunately so many who still think that way.
Who'll race in to defend a government that is borrowing and squandering funds left, right and centre.
While also denying a meal scheme to be extended for only the school holiday periods.

What a mess this Country is really in with such cruel and heartless attitudes such as that.

I actually think this pandemic have shown a lot of people's true colours. On one hand there are the people who believe the government regardless of the hard heartedness and then there are the people who, in Tier 3, are facing financial ruin but are still helping families who are struggling.

Hopefully when all this is over the people will remember those who stopped children going hungry in these times.
