Stuff like this is what really irritated me about the show. They knew the exact number of seasons/episodes they had to tell their story and they still didn't bother planning any sort of arc, so you had characters like Ilana introduced late on and taking time away from the main cast who they then say they "ran out of time" to develop? Despite them knowing how long they had. And main characters were written out/killed off to make space for brand new characters that did nothing.

The show span its wheels far more in seasons 5 and 6 than it ever did in 1-3.
