Delaying the lockdown until Thursday was foolish on the government's part. It probably should have come into force today since people will go mental for most of this week since it'll be their last chance to go out and visit non-essential shops for a month.

netherlands: some covid patients earlier going home and being monitored via app

a test was being done with 45 covid patients, via the app they can see oxygen levels in their blood, their temperature, and other symptoms to doctors at hospital

patients who are stable, or need 2 litres or less of oxygen are allowed to take part in this test

this can be good news, as it creates free space in hospital for newer patients

Scotland's first minister says she faces a "dilemma" over whether a national lockdown should be introduced in the coming days.

Nicola Sturgeon said she was seeking "absolute clarity" from the Treasury as to whether financial support was only available while England is locked down.

A new five-level system of measures came into force in Scotland on Monday.

Ms Sturgeon said a decision on whether to go further within days may depend on how long furlough funding is available.

Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has also called for the UK government to "commit to extending furlough if Scotland needs to go into lockdown".

Cabinet office minister Michael Gove held a meeting with the leaders of the devolved administrations on Monday morning, and Ms Sturgeon said she was told the Treasury was "listening" to concerns and would be "reflecting" on them.

------------

so the answer is no

I want to go to central London for the last time before the lockdown.
I love going for a walk in Leicester Square. It's my favourite part of London.
I also want to watch Halloween at the cinema.
Hopefully the numbers will come down soon.

....also the self isolation time for positive testing to be possibly cut from 14 to 7 days as from next week...I don’t know if those article links say that as well...

i think the theory is that the overwhelming majority will experience symptoms within 7 days if they are infected, and also people are much more likely to stick to isolation if its 7 rather than 14 days

I wonder if those who've had it now have some kind of immunity.
Because I think I've had it back in march, but I've been fine ever since
