Would you say it's worth buying, TS? I skipped 1 and played 2 but lost interest before finishing it.

It's a tonne of fun, but more of a playground. Not one if you're looking for serious acting or storyline. It has some hilarious emergent gameplay and the recruitments can be unintentionally(?) hilarious too... like I tagged one of the enemy guards to recruit, she was listed as "hating" the organisation with a passion... the joined up because I beat her at darts.

Also recruited an 18 year old social media girl with the operative telling her "You should join up! IT'S FUN!!" and she did... then got shot and killed less than 10 minutes later . Lefties, eh?

I never played Watchdogs 2 actually - though I'm one of the few (apparently) who really enjoyed the original WatchDogs. It had a much more serious (sort of depressing) tone though.

Apparently the protagonist Aiden Pearce is coming as a season pass operative at some point . The Ubisoft+ version comes with the season pass included. It's a pretty decent deal - Ł12 a month but Ubisoft has a good year next year so I'll more than get my money's worth.

Only available on PC of course

I think I'll give a few YT vids a watch. It's a difficult game to actually work out. I can tell you're enjoying it, but other than that I have no idea about anything

The title of the thread was tongue in cheek but more or less accurate. London has been taken over by high-tech fascist private police, you play as Antifa (DedSec) and can basically recruit anyone in the city to your anti-fascist resistance and then play as them, like Cockney pokémon. Then do anti-fascist stuff like delivering truckfuls of crime-harvested organs to the NHS, breaking into New Scotland Yard, recruiting 60 year old bare-knuckle boxing Russian women (by first beating them up), and of course accidentally murdering tonnes of innocent people with reckless driving and/or machine gun fire.

All whilst being repeatedly called a "twat-waffle" by security guards, the police, and random members of the public.

Guys I was reckless and BOTH of my skilled hackers got killed on one mission. I mean one of them was the lady from the car wreck above who maybe deserved it for her adventures on vehicular manslaughter but the other was an innocent little Pakistani lady I've had since near the beginning and I was so mad about it I went in with a guy who has an AK47 and a grenade launcher and did the mission by just killing everyone in the building and strolling through.

I am the worst leftie activist ever. Like I am definitely creating a terrorist organisation here.

Watch_Dogs 2 is pretty decent too. I liked Watch_Dogs 1, but it did feel a little lacking

It took itself VERY seriously, and I think the subject matter needs the slightly irreverent tone that this one has.
