If you sacked someone for a personal issue that is not illegal and does not impact or impede their job you'd be up before an employment tribunal before you can say wrongful dismissal

Agree. The business is ruthless and I think the way they treat older presenters is terrible.

Been a while since i watched, and when i did it wasn't much so i don't really care who presents it. Though i would have preferred Phil to get the sack, he's on telly enough, he's in every other ad nowadays it seems! Well people who work in the public domain whether its Television/sport/public figure DO get asked to resign if they do something in their private lives that does not represent the Brand they represent...


Of course Philip Schofield would never be sacked for what he did....but it certainly changed peoples opinion of him with regard to wife.
