So there’s an immunologist being interviewed on SKY News at the moment

She’s said that the trials on the new vaccine have been ‘trialled’ on many thousands of people ...

Are these people in the UK or across the world I wonder .... guess it doesn’t really matter though ..

Just thinking if they’re all from one area like Cornwall or something - then you’d expect that area to have far lower than average infections ??

All of the trials have been done across a number of countries, ages, genders etc I believe as they need to see how the perform in all scenarios

So these vaccines have to be kept at -70C !!!

Only a few places ... those being only a FEW hospitals across the country have the infrastructure to cope with those temps .

That’s gonna slow things down surely ?!?

I'm not having the vaccine until plenty of guinea pigs have tested it.

That’s not what he just said though .. and he was clearly trying to paint a fairly rosy picture.

Sky now reporting that 50 hospitals ( the ones able to keep it at -70C will start immunising next week hopefully.

It sounds more complicated than that if it has to be kept below -70 degrees in temperature .

I'm just wondering what will happen next year , especially in summer when it's more widely available to us all .

the other 2 vaccines will be approved before Christmas which can both be transported more easily. I think the Pfizer vaccine will end up be dispensed from hospitals and the others will get distributed all over the place

Hit has been said numerous times that it has to be transported at minus 70, it’s then defrosted as you can’t shoot ice into someone’s arm! and it is viable in a fridge for 5 days
