Default BAN under 18s from voting in Big Brother!

As a Big Brother obsessive and loyal follower of thw show since the first series, I have become utterly exasperated at the last two series with house mates who I deem completely useless in every aspect going on to the final three and then winning the show.

Last year's BB5, an overall entertaining series, was proof enough that somebody so dull, so appalling, so ugly in every way can go on to win helped considerably by the monosyllabic army of mobile texters better known as the under 18s. These horrid little wretches should be BANNED from having any part in the house mates eviction process. So my idea is to introduce a credit card payment system where only adults are eligible to vote.

Now, I appreciate this would come at a cost to Endemol who rely on revenue from phone/text voting. So rather than just 20 or 50p whatever it is, Id be prepared to pay £5 to register my vote. A small price to pay I think youll agree to stop horrible kids from ruining a great series any longer.

Even though im old enough to vote and also have my own credit card i think this new system is a total disgrace, alot of Big Brothers biggest fans are under 18 so this seems like a stupid idea.

No offence Eva, but just from looking at your awful avatar of whatsherface I can tell you epitomize the Big Brother fan I want to see banned from having any say in how the show develops.

Im not saying under 18s cant watch Big Brother. Im not completely heartless! Just that they cant vote in the eviction process. This would make for a better show and stop entertaining house mates being evicted.

Reform of the BB voting should be to ban extreme multiple voting. I think one vote per day should be the max allowed for everyone including the under 18's. It's hardly democratic to ban a particular section of the public. But fair play should be considered. Multiple voting is not fair play.

Also BB is adult entertainment and children should not be watching let alone voting Parental irresponsibility is the problem here.

I know last year it was claimed that some idiots (Adults) not under 18's were spending their house keeping money for multiple voting.

I agree the winner last year was the biggest farce and classic piece of stupidity in the history of the series. But I don't accept it is all to do with youngsters. Politically correct nutters are most to blame. Must have a gay winner this year. Or must have a ****** this year, Or must have a one eyed monster with three horns for another year.

Why Oh why do we have to have this political correctness of having some minority group or other novelty type individual win BB. For a change it would be nice to see someone win on merit of personality regardless of type or gender.

A fag sucking hyena suffering withdrawal symptoms every few minutes is not a personality to be regarded as a personality of any worth.Ok grumpy old bananarama feels better now.

I agree bananarama it's fairer to have one vote per person and stop multiple voting but it's all about making as much money as possible so it will never happen.

I think you should be able to vote whenever and how mani times u wont and under 18s r the ppl keepin the entertainin ppl in not like some stupid old ppl who vote for the quiet ones! Besides i think the BB5 evictions were about right although Emma and Victor should have stayed longer!

I agree it is about money and may never happen. However based on my own attitude to voting I think the multiple vote ability deters people from wasting a vote because they think multiple voting by BB addicts will undo any influence a single voter has. In my case last year because I heard of so many throwing money down the drain to manipulate unfairly the outcome I therfore hardly voted at all. Twice if i remember correctly.

Who knows there may be many others like me who are put off voting and as such the channel looses money...

Also allowing the rule one vote per day would be a compromise on multiple voting and if that rule were well advertised might encourage more people to do just that. They would not be spending a fortune after all...Just a theory.....

Id exclude anyone who reads Heat magazine from taking part too but that would mean probably 90 % of female viewers banned! I agree with bananarama that political correctness plays a large part in the voting. And anyone deemed too outrageous, argumentative will be heading for an early exit, and good-looking pleb-like zombies will go on to the final few.

Trust me, BB6 will be ruined by the daft voting from silly kids who havent got a clue.

The thing that puzzles me, Andy is WHY younger voters decide to vote out entertaining or controversial housemates ..... I'd have thought they'd want them to stay to make the programme more interesting!

For the record, I agree with banarama too. The only way to ensure fair voting is to allow one vote per phone per eviction.

Oh, and I have been known to have a sneaky read of Heat occasionally ........

When I register my vote I press the redial button 10 or so times to cancel out the votes of others. So I dont agree with the banarama on that point. I do agree with banarama on most things though.

Im blaming kids for the disaster of last year's finale. Look at them turning up in the crowds at every show and booing the entertaining housemates they describe as 'the baddies'. What nonsense.

Stuart - Braindead hippy kept in by his looks
Shell - inoffensive naturist do-gooder who got her norks out to get the vote from testosterone-fueled teenagers
Whatsherface - inane laugh that appealed to stupid kids!

Sod it. Ban kids, women and the over 40s from voting. That should do it.

Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear.......I do hate censorship. It tends to creat more problems than it is supposed to cure. Free speech is valuable even when upsetting. How else can we learn to deal with life as adults......Sorry I just had to pipe up my feelings on the subject.....:s hocked:

Bit harsh babe!

I can see from your avatar you were a H fan and quite right too. But I know for a fact there were a hell of lot of people under the age of 18 voting for her, because she appealed to the younger generation. I don't think she would have got as far as she did without that vote to be honest.

Helen wasnt up that many times to face a public vote though. If Penny hadnt embarassed herself so much Helen probably would have gone in the second week.

Lets just say the edited bit was from the imaginary Offices of Political Incorrectness defending my right to speak and having a little pop at certain people in our society who like to spoil my fun . They didnt even use any profanity dammit! I like Sticks and wouldnt offend him. Hes one of my favourite Tibb posters for Gawd sake.

Right thats it. Everyone except ME is banned from voting in this year's BB.

Why not go one step further and ban rubbish contestants who just want to make it big in the media and earn some cash!

I'm thinking particularly Narinder from BB2, Jade from BB3, Justine from BB4 and Emma from BB5 here! (Why is it always the girls, she says!)
