its not quite the same though is it, a housing development would have a mix of inhabitsnts, families, couples, single, employed, self employed, unemployed, and by the time it gets to planning application stage it can be difficult to stop, its understandable that people would have concerns if 500 men are dumped here with nowhere to go and nothing to do, and they would have the same concerns with a new housing development stretching the village resources and increasing traffic and noise, put it in Pritis back yard maybe
