Time to bring home the Champions league bacon.
Switch to a cheeky 3412. 3 cb's, 4 in mid but have a diagonal arrow forward and a diagonal arrow backwards (1 square) on your centre mids and 2 wingers with a forward arrow for one square, a support man, and your 2 guys up front. Or an old school 235.
CM 01/02 was the best cm of all time, but having older brothers, I pretty much played all of them!

Do you keep up with their updates on Cm 01 02 updates? The games now free,

Problem is those games are over two decades old and have been rinsed in terms of functionality, glitches, work around etc. The site I posted has all the best strategies and tactics so the games quite easy.

I always like to take a team from the conference into the Premier division and into Europe while also manging an international team. I was once Ireland manager for 40 years . Once had an amazing game as Stevenage where I won the ECL 7 times in 11 years. It was always the most challenging task because you had to refresh the whole squad at least twice by the time you got to the Premiership and this usually screwed up the finances for such a small club. All were classic games that I'd recommend to anyone.

I downloaded it from there when it became freeware, so I have it. I haven't patched it so I get that fake Portugese player who scores about a million goals a season - Txeira or something like that.

I always lose interest in saves that aren't Liverpool. I used to do an Oxford save as a kid, but I'd just lose interest when I couldn't sign Ronaldinho or Kluivert.

Haven't played for a year or 2, but definitely have a Liverpool save on the hard drive. Classic.

To think Ole was on the hot seat a month or so ago and we were in supposed crisis. Now could well go to Anfield top of the table.

Season going to have many twists and turns.

To Madeira, I think, and the other player was Maxim Tsigalco or something like that. I never used the original database so never signed either of them.

Now that I see there is a November update I had to download it and the game too. Having the usual issue of setting the damned thing up but I'm curious to see if all the old tricks still work.

I cant play as a big club simply because the game is too easy if you use the 'cheat' tactics that I like to use. Probably the best game I ever had was Wolves and USA when Wolves were still in the 2nd tier but their 40k ground meant that the finances issues you always had with small clubs was never an issue. Playing as a small club it was always funny to see the club haemorrhaging money every year while in every cup final and winning the league by ten points.

The biggest challenge, for me, was to win all 8 club competitions in the same year. This was always very rare cuz you'd slip up in one of the cup competitions and lose on penalties or come up against a super keeper. I'm now starting to remember how frustrating the game could also be at times.

I play a 3-1-3-3 formation, I sometimes switch to a 5-3-2 if I have a couple of good wing backs in my team.

Both United and City can overtake liverpool now if they win their games in hand. It shows how crap teams have been this season

i usually played in 4-3-3 formation

or when against better opponents then i had swapped to 5-3-2 formation, just some extra defence and more rely on any possible counter attacks

as for my transfer strategies had been like, 2 bought players, 4 on loan, and a couple of free agents (more those with international experience, whom can add that experience to the team etc) and i also reinforced my team staff (one assistant manager, first team coach, goalkeeping coach, fitness coach, and few former player-coach as youth coaches

yes i had some glory days playing football manager

usually dutch eredivisie, but also sometimes Premier League, and Serie A

It’s looking like just about anyone can win the league this season ... especially if they suspend the league in the coming weeks ( entirely possible) ....

So if/ when this virus goes crazy I can see them stopping the season and handing the league to the team leading at the time or discounting it all together

Come on Villa !!

Soooo 40 Prem League players tested positive for Covid this week .. up from 18 last week ( the previous highest number )

Looking very ominous ... . I have no idea why the music and live entertainment people have chosen today to pressurise the government into naming a date for LIVE shows / concerts to start up again

3313 was peak on the amiga. Not really the best for the version you're playing. Try the 3412.

Not prem league but still ..
United v City

Fernandinho has already whacked Fernandes a few times already .. Fernandes just reacted aggressively as the ref ( as usual) doesn’t book or even warn Fernandinho ..

I don’t understand how certain players are routinely allowed to foul repeatedly

You just know he’ll get away with murder all night then score a late winner !!

The Villa thing with liverpool tomorrow was always going to happen at some point and its gonna happen a lot more by the time the season is through, spurs have already got a bye because of a similar situation in the league cup

they should have done away with the cups this season i reckon for numerous reasons, the biggest one being the packed fixture list this season and more travelling and The FA Cup hasn't got the same feel without the fans besides all that

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has said it is "morally wrong" for football to continue amid increasing coronavirus outbreaks at clubs.

The Magpies were the first team to have a Premier League match postponed this season, but more than 60 games in England have been called off.

"Financially it's right to play on, but for me, morally, it's probably wrong," said Bruce.

"I understand people want to see a game of football but we are just as vulnerable as everybody else."

doesn't really sit right with me that your average person has to follow these rules and sit at home watching the elite sports stars earn mega bucks whilst they are travelling up and down the country multiple times a week coming into contact with loads of people (in some teams cases going for a piss up in dubai and some R&R )

but suppose same time i hated the leagues getting called early last year, really have a disliking to teams getting called champions without a campaign being fully completed, i know their is a good chance of it happening this season as well in many leagues, if Rangers got handled the title before the season end i'd be a bit mixed about it tbf obviously i'd be happy we won it but its such a massive season in scotland for it to end that way would be an anticlimax, i know it happened with celtic last year as well but it doesn't feel right at all, especially when the prem and other leagues were allowed to carry on after a break and broadcasters were creaming over it

Premier League issues 'enhanced' Covid rules in bid to avoid suspension

- Shirt-swapping banned and warning given against hugging
- Dressing room spot checks now to be carried out

The Premier League has issued a hardline directive to its clubs in a bid to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and threatened action against players who break the rules.

A number of managers have argued the case for a pause in the season while the latest wave of Covid engulfs the country but the Premier League continues to insist the show must go on.

All top-flight clubs have now been given an “enhanced” set of measures that ban all shirt-swapping and warn against handshakes or hugging during matches. The new rules would be ratified at the next shareholders’ meeting but, because of the urgency, the proposals will be implemented immediately.

The Premier League is aware of the rising public anger with high-profile footballers who have flouted lockdown rules in recent weeks and has therefore decided to reinforce the message of responsibility to its clubs and players.

In an email sent to clubs, the Premier League said: “It is vital to ensure public, government and stakeholder confidence in the training and matchday protocols that individual transgressions by relevant persons are appropriately investigated and sanctioned by clubs.

“Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action by the league individually against the relevant person, where appropriate (for example, where his or her conduct brings the league into disrepute) and/or against the club (where the relevant person’s conduct constitutes a breach of the training protocol).”

Among the new rules, spot-checks will be carried out within Premier League dressing rooms while more powers have been given to the Covid-19 compliance officers, who each work with two clubs.

Other measures include limiting the numbers of guests in the matchday directors’ box and reinforcing the rule that substitutes should wear face masks while seated. Indeed, clubs have been warned they can only remove masks when playing, warming up or if giving socially-distanced post-match interviews.

Clubs must now use three separate coaches when driving staff while any external workers likely to come into contact with players – in hotels or during transportation – must have returned a negative Covid-19 test. At the training grounds, “clinical passports” will now be used by all players and staff which can be inspected by the compliance officers.

Clubs will also come under increased scrutiny and investigation if they experience a Covid-19 outbreak. This follows previous outbreaks at Newcastle, Fulham, Sheffield United, Manchester City and now Aston Villa. The Premier League can ill afford for the season to be disrupted, and risk facing further rebates to broadcast partners.

I love it and would hate for it to be suspended, but the message has been poor for months, hugging, spitting, shirt swapping and the staff mixing at the end of the game ...it’s ridiculous that it’s allowed

but suppose same time i hated the leagues getting called early last year, really have a disliking to teams getting called champions without a campaign being fully completed, i know their is a good chance of it happening this season as well in many leagues, if Rangers got handled the title before the season end i'd be a bit mixed about it tbf obviously i'd be happy we won it but its such a massive season in scotland for it to end that way would be an anticlimax, i know it happened with celtic last year as well but it doesn't feel right at all, especially when the prem and other leagues were allowed to carry on after a break and broadcasters were creaming over it

They will earn megabucks sat at home for three months ..
