I think it’s just a generation thing. I think when people are younger the acts they grow up listening to and the charts around that time seem such a huge thing.

I personally think Little Mix are rubbish, but I imagine a larger proportion of 10-20 year olds think they’re great and will probably say the same in 2050s that the number 1 in the 10s/20s meant a lot - I couldn’t say more than probably 5 number 1 hits of the year just been
