I wonder why on earth they are even cosidering anal tests?! Doesnt seem likly that anyone would chose those over a cheek swab.
Unless they are just trying to get more accuracy from the tests. Which seem to have a ridiculous rate of false results.

On other slightly less important news ...
I’m being allowed to work from home next week so that effectively means that when I start back in the high school on the following Monday I will have 20 days of vaccine protection streaming through my veins when I’m sharing the building with 1,500 potential carriers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by Zizu; 05-03-2021 at 04:10 PM. |

[17:23: The BBC's Vicky Young asks about
the government's recommendation of a 1% rise for NHS staff "Mr Hancock says he "pays tribute" to NHS workers during the COVID pandemic. He adds these have been "challenging times" and that one of those challenges has been the financial consequences of the pandemic. The health secretary notes how there is a pay freeze for other public sector workers, with a 1% rise for NHS staff considered to be what is "affordable".] |

[Question four: ITV's Libby Wiener asks - there are still 12,000 people being treated for COVID in hospital, how hard did you fight for a more generous pay offer for NHS staff? And to Dr Hopkins how effective do you believe the AstraZeneca vaccine to be against the Brazillian variant? Mr Hancock says we do have "issues of affordability" because of the pandemic's impact which "have to be taken into account". Ms Hopkins says there still isn't enough clinical data to say, but based on data from how it works against the South African variant they do hope it will have some impact on reducing hospitalisations and deaths.] https://news.sky.com/story/covid-new...gated-12236311 Last edited by arista; 05-03-2021 at 04:47 PM. |
