...GMTV is supportive of mental health issues, I believe...and Piers had no tolerance or understanding of any mental struggles that Meghan was having, even when she spoken about being suicidal...thats a huge clash of values between employer and employee, I would say...so he chose to find something that was more in line with his own values...

The fact that Piers was complicit of the phone hacking of victims of crime, murdered children etc etc shows he has a blatant disregard for anyone's mental health. He is a typical poor debater, he shouts his views over anyone who is trying to debate with. He was a ratings winner, sure but as an actual journalistic professional, he was woeful. The reason he was a successful print journalist is because he could spout his bile without fear of hearing the other side.

He will resurface somewhere no doubt and will be successful again. He has come back from equally reprehensible actions and prospered so I have no doubt he will again

Not fact checked but said on twitter

Would appear that Piers was right Meghan is a liar ~ The English owners of a restaurant called Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena said that Meghan attended twice to learn how to drink tea, how to curtsey, etiquette and how to address the queen ! This was when she first started dating Harry ????

He acts like the phone hacking never happened, I bet if someone brought it up he'd accuse them of trolling him . He's a pathetic sleazeball, he's turned journalism into a big fat joke .

As for his debating style , it's insufferable ,rude and very disrespectful. It's impossible to sit through .

The question now is who takes over? I doubt ITV will want to go for a safe option. They need to keep the differences between GMB and BBC Breakfast as established as they have become.

"Record figures"

The figures yesterday were BBC Breakfast 1.25m and GMB 1.29. That's a difference of 40k. And that was from 8am which means people woke up, read that **** had kicked off on GMB and tuned it to see the aftermath. It really is nothing to write home about.
