Even with how both William & Harry are grieving is being scrutinised and compared in the media, even their separate statements paying tribute .

When who cares if William was more formal with his words, and Harry more laid back. They both miss their grandad.

I think you will find they are merely looking at the different styles which reflects their personalities. Williams is a little more serious with a personal touch and Harry's is a little more laid back....both have been admired in their different styles.
NO ONE is scrutinising HOW they are grieving...

Well, it's incorrect to say "no one" isn't it?

Harry was accused of being cold by various people.

People grieve how they will, it's their grief, not ours. It's gross to judge someone grieving the loss of a loved one just because you happen not to like them.

Also, they are under no obligation to illustrate their grief in its entirety in a public statement. It's their grief, not for your consumption, no matter who they are.

Yup, a person's grief is not entertainment for the masses. Their lives and their pain is not a soap for us to partake in from a safe distance

Don't we have a thread on here that is deemed 'entertainment' where people guess when people are going to die? those people that die have families and grieve, is their family grief also not a soap for us to ignore their pain ,so we can enjoy a very weird game at a safe distance.

I'd repeat it again too, because that is what it was like as a public tribute...I was far from alone in thinking so.
I did not comment on how he might be feeling privately at all.

commenting on someone's public statement is not expressing an opinion on how that person should or should not grieve. I don't think i've heard anything more ludicrous

It was a short remembrance message put up the day Philip died, before Harry had even had time to process the death let alone put something down in his own words for your satisfaction.

Then report the thread?

Although your attempt at connecting that to what Dezzy said doesn't work. The thread has nothing to do with making a soap or entertainment of the loved ones grief who are also not likely to see the thread.

Actively going onto national TV or into national newspapers telling the world someone's statement about their own grandfather wasn't good enough, as though to quantify their grief is a completely different thing.

A lot of people are taking the opportunity to attack peoples opinions in a thread about someone dying.

That's tragic.

Williams statement in full:

My grandfather’s century of life was defined by service – to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family.

I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life – both through good times and the hardest days. I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her. I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humour!

My grandfather was an extraordinary man and part of an extraordinary generation. Catherine and I will continue to do what he would have wanted and will support The Queen in the years ahead. I will miss my Grandpa, but I know he would want us to get on with the job.

Lovely statements from both his grandsons.
