Guilty as charged....he was arrogant and his ego got in the way of acting humanely.
I thought it was disgraceful what Biden did though...he could have easily caused a re-trial.

So many lives ruined by this case. Not just the lives of Mr Floyd and Mr Chauvin. All those badly injured, killed and incarcerated in the aftermath.

There are winners though, the Political class, the media. They know how to turn a bad situation to their advantage.

Apparently Mr Floyd sacrificed himself for justice. The political class are very thankful to Mr Floyd, now they can attempt to use this to try to pass new authoritarian laws on the people, one more step to all conquering power.

It's a shame how so many older people get suckered into believing conspiracy theories that a child would be able to see through. Oh well, enough about extremely gullible people, it's a great day for justice. I'm pleased that George Floyd's family finally got closure with this result and I hope this is a starting point for other black victims of police brutality to get the justice they've been denied in the past.

Genuinely surprised by the verdict... I assumed the American legal system would conjure 200 more impossible hoops for the prosecution to jump through and he'd be acquitted on the most inane technicality.

A small slice of justice in a country that's in short supply.

...justice for George......George Floyd was taken from his family but at least justice for his life wasn’t taken from them...I can’t imagine the emotion they must be feeling in having waited so long for this day and those judge’s words ...

George Floyd’s sister, LaTonya Floyd, reportedly said of the verdict: “I feel like heaven is standing on my shoulders ... My brother got justice, and that’s very rare.”

George Floyd’s younger brother, Philonise, said there was more work to be done in their fight for justice. “We will have to do this for life,” he said. “I am going to put up a fight every day ... because I am not just fighting for George any more.”

...as his family and Barack Obama have said, it’s about more than one trial and one verdict but it’s a great justice of a terrible wrong by someone who was pledged to protect ...George’s family can now begin to put their lives back together...

it only needed 1 juror to say not guilty and given the defence had input into the choice of jurors, it shows how damning the evidence was against him

Yeah I kept thinking what other excuses were they going to come up with to try and get Chauvin off , Floyd was being painted as some druggie with health problems .

But that's like jumping on an old man's chest who has lung disease, and after he dies nonchalantly being like "well he was already ill " , like it doesn't matter that you've still injured and killed someone .

So whether George Floyd had chest problems already, it doesn't change the fact he was still murdered . so finally justice has been served and a bit of closure too for the family .

Legal scholar Alan Dershowitz predicted Monday that Derek Chauvin's conviction would
be overturned on appeal because of the unusual number of "outside influences" that
potentially tainted the jury, which was unsequestered for the majority of the trial.

Dershowitz .

The man who after being accused of sexual improprieties claimed he had a 'perfect', I repeat 'perfect' sex life. A very odd statement from a very odd gentleman but lets post his garbage cuz it'll wind people up.

Jeffrey Epstein's ex-lawyer Alan Dershowitz boasts of his 'perfect sex life' with his wife

Oh yeah and watch for the reaction , if they let him off on appeal it'll be war on the streets and they will have every reason to , the man is guilty and deserves longest sentence possible, no excuses and end of.

I doubt Mr Chauvin will enjoy jail but its what happens when you murder aother human being.

...it’s a strange one, I just can’t imagine how a family must feel with something like this because there would be a huge sense of justice obviously but no sense of satisfaction as such because to get to this place of justice they’ve lost George and so much of their lives/their daily thoughts etc will surely have had this focus of the trial and the verdict...now they don’t have that anymore, their grief will be something that they have to fully feel without that concentration of the trial and accountability...it’s just impossible to imagine..it would be like a grieving process twice...
