Default Railway station roof comes crashing down.

A railway station roof has come crashing down sparking major trains disruption today.

Part of the roof at Northwich Station collapsed with footage showing a pile of rubble on the platform of the station as well as inside the waiting area.

There are no reported injuries, reports*Cheshire Live.

Northern Rail has confirmed that there will be severe delays and cancellations in the area due to the debris causing the train line to be blocked.

Northwich resident Hollie Sephton, who was on the platform, said: "It was complete silence one minute, and then all of a sudden it just fell."

Tickets are being accepted on Transport for Wales services between Chester and Manchester Oxford Road via Warrington Bank Quay and on the Metrolink between Altrincham and Manchester.
