Scottish kids already sing ,"if ye hate the fkng English clap yer hands" in assembly so not sure how they will fit this In?

It used to be a song about Jesus but Nicola changed that.

Ffs this has just reminded me that we used to say the Lord’s Prayer every morning and sing about Jesus constantly at assemblies. It wasn’t a religious school it was a bog standard state primary school! At least they’ve stopped that nonsense.

The content is of concern.
I'm afraid I'm uncomfortable with this too to be honest.

At this time and the last year or more, something more World related may have been a better project.

Feel so sorry for anyone that puts their head above the parapet these days, shot down in flames over a song written by kids

i don't think there is any problem with kids singing some songs, but when it comes down as an edict, it puts a different slant on it entirely. For me, i would rather have kids singing what they want without some collective consciousness

My wife went to Catholic school so a couple of songs and prayers are small potatoes compared to the garbage they were fed there

Kash was on BBC Politics Live BBC2HD
he funded this new song with his own money.

He says its not Political.

Tim Shipman (Telegraph) says it has become Culture War.

And this is the point, but folks willfully ignoring this. We have historians and professors telling us about the parallels with the 1920's and 30's, and we have people on here pretending it's just about a little song.

It's pure culture war nonsense.

The only reason Kash was able to get this where he has is because he's best friends with McVey. It was introduced through parliament, via the tories, and now co-opted completely.

He's been trying to get traction for this song for 15 years, and we're wondering why now is the moment?
