Yeah why are they even giving a date of 19th July. Yes it is good to allow people to look ahead but it also allows for disappointment when things just won't be opening up. I think the government may be in for a suprise if they genuinely think things are going well

i think when they reduce the quarantine requirements for the fully vaccinated, it will settle down. That's the key. At the moment any of these countries can be banged on to the amber list at a moments notice which messes everyone up.
I still wouldn't risk going abroad until that's sorted |

Prices sky high for abroad? Sadly staying in one of the cheaper caravans at haven costs more as I've tried to book a holiday. UK prices are ridiculously sky high! So those abroad prices don't seem too bad but I won't be going abroad until next year. As if they have added Ibiza. That's a sest pit

people seem to be confused. The criteria previously stated for removing restrictions have gone out of the window. The criteria now is giving every adult the opportunity to be vaccinated, which happened last week, so lockdown will end in july

I still feel that the "unlock date" should be when everyone who wants it has actually HAD both doses - ideally would be 21 days after that... though I think the point where everyone is 2x dosed is a decent compromise.
However they want to be open before we head back into winter, for economic reasons... which I understand, but I think it's far from optimal. |

Ryanair adds 200,000 extra seats to Malta and the Balearic Islands They will be added in July, August and September on flights from the UK to Malta, Ibiza and Palma after the destinations made it onto the government's green travel list. But the airline is calling on ministers to add "equally safe destinations" such as Cyprus, the Canaries and the Green Islands. It also wants vaccinated citizens from the UK and the EU to travel freely between both. In a statement, the company claimed the government, "still won’t explain what scientific data they've applied to their decision making on the traffic light system which is very confusing for airlines and consumers".] |

[Delta variant 'spreading freely across Wales', Drakeford says The first minister of Wales has warned of a rise in cases of the Delta variant after figures doubled in a week. Mark Drakeford said it is "spreading freely in communities right across Wales". There were just under 500 confirmed cases of the variant in the country last Friday. But this has now more than doubled to around 1,100 cases, he told a press conference in Cardiff. He said the incidence rate of coronavirus across the country had risen to 37 cases per 100,000 people and was highest in North Wales, where four of the six local authority areas have rates higher than 50 cases per 100,000 people. The Labour politician said: "As many as 97% of new cases of coronavirus in North Wales are caused by the Delta variant. "The very latest information I have is that 15 people have been admitted to hospital having contracted the Delta variant in Wales." He claimed Wales was "two to three weeks behind" the COVID situation in the rest of the UK.] https://news.sky.com/story/covid-new...ekend-12337263 |

Well the test came back negative. So it is just a nasty cold but it really has wiped me out. It must be because immune systems are low. Also I've worked out I usually get this kind of illness in October as so clean at Uni. I catch "Freshers flu" but obviously uni has been quiet for over a year and only in the last month with exams got very busy. So what id get in October I caught in June

People won't be following the rules anymore by this corrupt and hypocritical goverment after the last week's of hearing about the G7, UEFA and the cock putting his cock where it doesnt belong. It's time to open up. Whether they decide this or not we all have a choice.

And on that note I'm gonna go back to the coronavirus Story as told by TIBB. Just to highlight how hypocritical the whole thing has been.
