You know my methods

Cuomo "When I was in elementary school, I feared that I was lesbian," she said. "When I was in middle school, I came out to my family and close friends as bisexual. When I was in high school, I discovered pansexuality and thought, 'That's the flag for me.'" Opening up about how she now identifies as demisexual, she continued: "I've recently learned more about demisexuality and have believed that that identity resonates with me most." For those not familiar, demisexuality is, according to GLAAD, a subset of asexuality that is used to "describe a person who does not experience attraction to an individual until a significant emotional bond has formed." Demisexual people can be of any sexual orientation (gay, straight, bi, queer, pan, etc.), but as Michaela tells Tramuto during their chat, they have to have an emotional bond with someone before they are sexually attracted to them. "I stand in my queer identity with pride, and in memory of those who came before me," she continued. "I stand indebted to the activists who fought for my right to love and happiness. I stand with a helping hand outreached to those finding their way from under socially constructed boxes to emerge from the closet. I’m standing with you." https://www.out.com/celebs/2021/7/06...out-demisexual |
