I remember staying up until the early hours when Beijing 2008 was airing. I'll probably do the same thing with this to an extent... I think I won't get excited/interested until it actually kicks off.

Just seems a bit of a disaster waiting to happen with all of the pull-outs, suspensions, isolation and all that. I feel bad for Tokyo and everything but I don't think insisting on running it whatever the (human) cost was the right route.
