Good morning everyone,

I am very saddened to announce that I am not running the TIBB Olympics. Due to Inativity, low number of players and people dropping out (for valid reasons) I am stopping the game. My TIBB New Years resolution was that I wanted to run my own game, I tried Solitary but didn't get numbers, I tried Secret Story but didn't get numbers also tried TagTeam and didn't get numbers, I have tried nonstop to run a game this year so when the idea of the Olympics went through my head I was adamant I was going to do it. I got 10 applications (which is just passable for this game). I thought that finally I was going to run a game. I planned everything and anything for this game for hours on end. But then unfortunately players started dropping out, I totally understand that TIBB isn't a priority and life always comes first. The thing I never thought about was inactivity, that was the fall point of the game. Once I discovered this it was to late and we were already 2 days into the Olympics. There is no point to continue running a game for 2 people who are active and playing. I fall asleep at 12am (due to work) to wake up at 5am for this game. You might ask why I am doing this, its because I love TIBB, the games and the people on here. Maybe we could try again later in the year but I will need active players and a lot more of them. I'm sorry to Jamie and Kirk for stopping the game while you were playing it but I hope you understand what I'm saying. Enjoy your day!

My heart is with you V. You are a polished and very organised Game Hostess, and it is a real shame that people did not get behind you on this great game.

Why don't you merely postpone it until later in the year and re-float it as 'The Winter Olympics'?

I will definitely enter, and I'm sure that Johnnyuk123 and Jamie will too, that gives us all a few weeks in which to recruit other players.

..I'm so, so sorry SV..

...(I think that you've made the right decision for yourself though, to get some sleep...)...if it's any consolation and maybe it isn't right now...but I think many have tried and struggled to get games going and then they suddenly have with one, so it will happen...and it's the timing as well, September is a time when the holiday season is over and back to education/jobs etc so people thinking they'll have the time but then other things present themselves/we don't always know these things in advance when games have to be signed up for....I would definitely think about revisiting the Olympic game because from the first event, it was all well put together and also easy to see the thought you had put in.../just one of those things of the timing and it not coming together but very much through no fault of yours though...

..../and really no one's, just sadly one of those things....

...I'm so sorry I couldn't have entered and supported you but I'm always so reluctant if I'm not sure whether I can be fully committed myself and I knew that the timing would be wrong for me as well..

Summer 6 weeks holidays really, so for me that's usually the last week of July up until the 1s to week of September.

You did a great job though! And Kirk's idea about bringing it back as the Winter Olympics is a good one. Well done for all the effort you put in anyway, it's much appreciated, and sorry it didn't work out
