I'm glad my son is too young yet to get it.....I wouldn't be allowing him to be jabbed even if he were old enough.

That's an American study though Zizu...so not comparable really as we don't know what covid measures they have in their schools. Yes, kids can catch and transmit...schools will always be some risk but so is every other office block and workplace.

You can still catch it from vaccinated / unvaccinated people and have the same viral load though....no matter what you vax status is.

If you had children still in the 12-15 year age group....would you be making the decision to have them vaccinated with limited knowledge, possible side effects and limited use without seriously doubting why you were doing it?

I think all adults should get a vaccine if they are able to, I'm not as comfortable deciding what should go into children's bodies when they are not fully grown and its a newish vaccine

the vaccine reduces an adults chance of becoming seriously ill from covid. That is the only context that is of value. Kids don't get seriously ill from it, so they shouldn't be getting vaccinated. I think the uptake for kids is going to be really low

Honestly I reckon the reason they’re doing it is because it’ll convert many “very mild symptoms” cases into “symptomless” cases, symptomless cases are far less likely to test, and thus it looks on paper like a reduction in cases (when it’s actually fewer symptomatic cases, more asymptomatic cases) which in theory does nothing to stop spread and might even increase spread (because symptomless infected people are more likely to spread as they carry on as normal).

High school kids are supposed to regularly LF test but in my experience very few do it. We’ve been trying to do it twice weekly as recommended but totally forgot last Wednesday, so she was only tested on the Sunday last week and then Sunday this week. But from what I gather, most kids she talks to don’t bother at all and have only had PCR tests if they have a cough or sniffle.

To be fair though I’m convinced LF tests are useless anyway.

because it provides zero medical benefit to the child, but does have a risk of vaccine side effects. That's a huge difference compared to other vaccines that they get.

Are people seriously going to accept the CMO saying that the benefit of this vaccination is against some unquantifiable measure of school disruption.

I am absolutely disgusted with him
