His refusal to cooperate will be coming straight from the Royal Lawyers, which essentially means they think he's ****ed if he can't keep dodging this.

She may be the Queen but I don't suppose she has any more control over her 61 year old son as any other mother would. Andrew is a pompous arrogant little ****e and he will do everything he can to squirm his way out of this situation and if that means going against the Queens wishes...he almost certainly will.

But he will dodge it
never letting a Stranger get near him.

To serve the Legal papers
you must give them to the person
it's Photographed at the same time.

it's not the same rules for people like Andrew, security staff don't let anyone near him and so it is equally valid to leave the papers with them

I don’t get why he’s been so evasive. They can’t have any actual evidence or they would have produced it before now, it’s basically she said, he said, isn’t it? Is he just being stupidly and bloody - mindedly stubborn or what? It’s all very puzzling.

Unless there is something else that we have not been made aware of and he knows that or is worried that they have. Just looks like an admission of guilt to me the more he drags his feet.

But if they had something, they surely would have used it, as it then would have been a criminal case and he would have been put on trial. As it is, it isn’t a criminal case, it’s a civil case - which means that Ms Giuffre wants a court in New York to decide only whether her allegations are true and whether the Prince should pay her damages.
If they decide what she is saying is true, Andrew won’t be arrested, but he will have to award her many millions.

Maybe she has disclosed something of a personal nature that only would be known by someone who has been up close and personal….

Who knows? Possibly Andrew is small fry in comparison to Epstein and Maxwell and the FBI don't want to have to extradite him for criminal proceedings as it may delay Maxwell's trial? The American justice system is not something I am well read upon, I know they often go civil as they are awarded monetary compensation and its easier to get a verdict than a criminal case (OJ Simpson case springs to mind, not guilty in criminal court but guilty after civil action). Either way he looks murky.

Do you believe the allegations?

He could simply go to the trial and say no comment to every think he is asked and that’s his right

So him not going there is nothing out of the ordinary

the burden of proof in a civil case is not as strict as in a criminal case. It's not unusual over there to test the water in a civil case and if it's successful, to then go for a criminal trial. It also allows certain evidence to be entered into the record that can then be referred to later in a criminal trial. So Andrew needs to be very careful how he responds, because the knock on's can be enormous

I believe that he has very poor judgement and has hung around with some very dodgy and unsavory people, eg, Epstein, because that has been proven. Did he rape and abuse VIrginia? I don’t know. His behaviour makes him look guilty as hell, but I couldn’t say for sure.
I’d LIKE him to be proven innocent, not for his sake, because I’ve never particularly liked him; he’s an arrogant buffoon, but for the sake of the Queen. He’s her son, and she’s been through enough the last year or so.
What do you think?

Pretty much the same. I do think Virginia has been abused in her past, he was there so in my eyes he is at least guilty by association. Even if he didn't partake, I 100% believe he will have been aware of what was happening.

Sadly, even if their was absolute proof of his innocence, his friendships have forever sullied his name and cast a cloud on the Monarchy.

I do feel for the Queen...she is having another annus horriblis
