I went out a 6.45am this morning to get petrol, just got back. It was bedlam....if I literally hadn't been on fumes I wouldn't have bothered.

Not going to be lazy any more and keep it topped up. Not dealing with that again

Default Lack of Lorry Drivers has held back Petrol (Public Panic)

We philled up last night (nothing to do with panic buying, we always do a supermarket run on a Friday night ) and Tesco had run out, but Morrison’s was fine and didn’t even have a queue. Hmmmm.

Many Petrol Stations
are now doing a Ł30 limit

temporary visas to 5,000 foreign HGV drivers
to help ease the pressure
Desperate motorists have been pictured
filling jerry cans with illegal amounts
of fuel amid panic buying]

The Government Failed
as they halted the HGV tests for too long
due to China's Covid-19 (Please Take Note TS)

Those coming in from the eu probably don’t even have the proper licences to drive on our roads

The question is why is it we need foreign drivers why haven’t we got uk drivers

[It is illegal to store petrol at home
in a jerry can because by law the
fuel must be kept in small quantities.
Either a metal 10-litre container or a
five-litre plastic one can be used.

Both have to carry a notice reading 'Highly Flammable'
and the maximum amount that can
be kept at home in total is 30 litres.

It is illegal to use 20-litre jerry can containers
because the fuel must not be stored in
such a large quantity in one vessel.]

I read somewhere that supermarket petrol is slightly poorer quality to the ‘proper’ fuel stations .. beggars can’t be choosers though

A myriad of reasons ..including you have to be over 25 to be taken on

Testing is expensive

The DVLA have been hiding behind covid and are on strike more often than not so backlogs are huge

Brexit

Covid

Plus it’s not an attractive job for many
