The game show Deal Or No Deal returns to television after twelve years' absence. RTL 5 will be releasing a new series of the program this autumn. Buddy Vedder is the new presenter, RTL Boulevard announced on Monday.

Deal Or No Deal was made between 2006 and 2009 by Beau van Erven Dorens. The show, in which participants have to play away suitcases to win the highest possible amount, is a smaller version of Million Hunt (Miljoenenjacht).

For Vedder, the program is a new step in his career. It's the first time the 26-year-old actor and presenter will present a game show.

We have recently downloaded Who Wants To Be a Millionaire with Jeremy Clarkson...we watched it years ago when Chris Tarrant did it. Not a fan of JC but he is good. We have really enjoyed watching it again....we really could do with a revival of Deal or no Deal...its good fun.

so far its first week, hmm same amount of fun as before

also Buddy Vedder is a good new host replacement for Beau either

great solo hosting debut for him on a more big late night show as well



decent viewer ratings, around 200k average which is decent knowing it is up against 2 talk shows and late night news and entertainment news but also decent for the not that high ratings scoring in general RTL5

great player last night, refused all bank offers, lost most of high amounts but at least he won 5.000 euro instead of the 5 euro

quite a lot of contestants so far this revival season who dare to play on

sometimes with good results, sometimes with flops

but i like contestants who aren't afraid to take risks



viewer ratings improving as well ever since couple weeks back shortening down the episodes


Buddy also becoming more himself rather than copying other deal or no deal hosts too much



last night, BBQ boss Ronald won 50.000 euro, nice offer, between 20.000 and 125.000 and he had 20.000 so it was a great timing to deal
