If they put some good telly on, like they used to do, then I'd have no problem with paying my TV licence, but it's just garbage these days.

Happy Birthday BBC

not true Alf, they got good variety for their target audiences

very decent drama miniseries, great family entertainment shows in Masterchef (Celeb, Professional, Regular) Great British Menu (and its christmas special) Strictly, and other good viewer rating hit shows like Gardeners World, Countryfile

The One Show, currently a nice panel of Alex Jones, Ronan Keating, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott

also see they still air lots of classic films too which is also good i think

-------------------
umm Arista, why not going for same route our national channels NPO are doing, ads before and after each show, but not between shows

a reason i like BBC is there are no ads between shows, while in some channels here in my nation, RTL, SBS, Veronica got ads between shows like 5 or 6 minutes long and then 2 or 3 ad breaks which is annoying

Their comedy used to be the envy of the World, now it's pretty much non existant.

the BBC is no longer required. If they can't fund themselves without the taxpayer they simply shouldn't be around
