[Variants have always been inevitable, Van-Tam says
Professor Jonathan Van-Tam says variants have
always been "inevitable" and
we've seen "many" variants come.

He describes Omicron as
"the new kid on the block for now"
,
adding: "And it's true to say scientists around
the world unfortunately agree this one
is of increased concern."

He says it has many mutations – and the
number present "already on first principles
makes us worry about a possible effect
on vaccine effectiveness".
South Africa has an "elevated growth rate", he says.
He continues: "As the case numbers grow,
then hospitalisations will also grow."]

Omicron can kiss my ass. It's about as scary as a French fancy.

Yeah, cause it is.

And a driverless car drove through a crowd of people at a Christmas parade.

And Jeffery Epstein killed himself.

And there were weapons of mass destruction.

Plus probably far more resistant to the current vaccines ??

That alone should be a major concern, surely ?

It’s been detected pretty much everywhere that does the sort of random testing that detects variants. Standard Covid tests DO NOT detect which variant you have so all of the “6 cases here, 5 cases there” is nonsense. If it’s been picked up in a country, it’s in that country and active.

It’s showing up in all the “heavy testing” countries.

It’s safe to assume it’s widespread across the whole globe.

It just happened to be SA that identified the strain first.

To be fair, the Earth is a sphere there's "just" the ocean between Canada and Australia, and both and the other reds.

I think we all know that Russia isn’t quite as far away from the USA as it looks on there

I was referring to all the WHITE areas though as mentioned it’s probably down to the amount of actual testing being done in the various areas
