You have to delve quite deep into conspiracy territory there because that (in my opinion) would require a few things to be true:

1) They have (and already had before release) a 100% effective protection/vaccination for it.

2) They have some never-before-seen ability to control or predict potential mutations that would nullify said protections.

3) This advanced virus engineering technology has been developed in complete secret.

I find all three of those to be extremely unlikely, and I also find it extremely unlikely that "the powers that be" would have taken the drastic risk of releasing a virus they have no control over (i.e. one that might affect them personally).

Governments ATTEMPTING to engineer such a thing and having it escape the lab accidentally? Then I can get closer to believing it.

that's all fine and good, but unless the variant does some serious damage or kills people, the infection rate or it's vaccine busting capabilities are irrelevant. It needs the 3 prongs for it to be something to worry about. I'm pretty sure that if anyone had become seriously ill with omicron, it would have been all over the media, and yet it's not. This is a serious question. Has anyone heard a news report saying that anyone with omicron across the whole world has become seriously ill or died, because I haven't

I still find it more likely than the whole thing being fictional tbh

I've quit my job.

I was gonna quit at Christmas anyway and look for something more close to home, but the mandates have pushed that forward.

I'm now doing nothing until January. I'll go out in the next few days and get all my presents and food I need and then I'm staying in, locking the door and film binging, keeping away from this mad, crazy World.

If I do need to pop out for things such as milk and bread, I'll do it in the corner shop behind my house, a 30 second walk.

Fair dues, will you not miss your colleagues, or have you not been there very long?

I will be socialising and no one is going to stop me, and I think alot of people will feel that same, they can't bring the public along this time like they did before, unless they lockdown, people will be partying

All our squad are getting together in a couple of weeks for an early Christmas. I can't see that being interrupted at this stage

Only been there 2 months. It was too long travelling for me, I prefer somewhere closer. It was taking up nearly 3 hours of my day just travelling there and back and over 5 days that's getting on for nearly 15 hours a week which is almost 2 extra shifts.

The Prime Minister
was outside Lordship Lane
Vaccination centre.

Was on SkyNewsHD and BBCnewsHD
not live - due to security measures

Saying everyone to get the Booster.

Prime Minister said what Jenny
has said is good advice.
And he is not changing any more rules.

That number won't be zero and the current sad reality is that out emergency services and healthcare systems cannot afford for that number to be anything but zero. It is crumbling. The true extent of how badly it's falling apart isn't really in the mainstream press. It's not just "struggling to cope", it's imploding, it's not going to be able to sustain an adequate level of service for even the most basic of medical care and any additional strain - ANY additional strain - is currently catastrophic.

So it doesn't matter if this is the mildest strain yet... if it's as contagious as they think it might be and 0.001% of those infected need hospital treatment... ... the camel's back is going to snap clean in two.

Sorry guys but that's the current situation .

Yikes, that's ridiculous!

Feel free to be as vague as you like, or tell me to mind my own, but what's your occupation?

Supermnarket warehouse picker.

I picked the items out of the warehouse that get sent out to the supermarket. Not one of the big supermarkets, one of the smaller ones, like Iceland but not Iceland

"Both stressed that more data is needed to fully understand whether B.1.1.529 is more contagious or resistant to vaccines."

There's no new info on this link, just to save everyone the time. This poster's misleading message made it seem like something more had been confirmed.

Netherlands: recap of last week

number of positive covid tests hasn't increased not or barely the last week, it more levelled off and climbed with same amount as the week before

155.000 positive covid tests last week, compared to 154.000 positive tests the week before

RIVM speaks of stable situation, most likely the result from the measures of half November

RIVM also speaks of the R number which already was decreasing in first half of November, at November 8th that number was 1,21 which means 100 people can infect 121 others, on November 15th this number was 1,05 meaning 100 people can infect 105 others

Stock markets around the world have fallen after the boss of Moderna cast doubts on the effectiveness of vaccines against the new Omicron Covid variant.

Stephane Bancel told the Financial Times he thought there would be a "material drop" in vaccine efficacy.

The Covid variant was first detected in South Africa, and the symptoms have been mild so far.

But travel restrictions have been imposed as a precaution by places including the UK, the EU and the US.

Mr Bancel predicted that existing vaccines would be less effective in staving off Omicron, and that it would take months for drugs companies to update vaccines.

"There is no world, I think, where [the effectiveness] is the same level," he said.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59426353
----------------------------

it has mild symptoms, so having a vaccine for it is not important. This is just surreal to me, they are all basically talking bollox

What if the Governments around the world have unleashed Covid on the world to lower the world's population?

Obviously I'm just spitballing here, but it's an interesting theory I think.
