Somebody else that passed away this week and has hardly got in to the news cycle is City of Hull and Rugby league legend "Gentlemen" Johnny Whiteley MBE.

He's an iconic legend in my city and the game of rugby league. He is to my club Hull FC what Bobby Charlton is to Manchester United or what Kenny Dalglish is to Liverpool, the clubs most iconic player, but unlike Charlton and Dalglish, Johnny is an Icon with his hometown club. He's also a rare breed that is loved by our bitter rivals Hull KR.

He died this week aged 91.

Channel 4 now have live Rugby Super League games and this Saturday's lunchtime game is Hull FC vs St Helens, it's gonna be an emotional one for the people of Hull as we pay respects and say goodbye to our greatest ever son.
