Default What’s the one thing you’re a ‘snob’ about?

For me, a bargain is a bargain, love getting things for cheaper and wouldn’t spend a lot of money on things I could get for cheaper, but the one thing I’m snobby about is….

Kitchen foil.

I bought the extra thick M&S one as I was in marks getting a Mother’s Day present a few years ago and now the usual stuff isn’t the same. I got one from Lidl yesterday and it’s so thin it might aswell be cling film!!!!

What’s yours?

Theatre etiquette. If you can't sit for 2 hours without talking to the person next to you, scrolling through your phone, singing along, rustling sweet wrappers - don't come.

Couldn't agree more. Some people just don't know how to behave.

I am a snob about Heinz Ketchup. Nothing else will do.

"Cheapo" supermarkets (Aldi/Lidl). 75% of the price for 50% of the quality and 25% of the customer service

10 years ago when they were genuinely LOADS cheaper than the big supermarkets it was maybe a fair trade off, but the truth these days is, they're not that much cheaper and the quality on most items is shocking, especially fresh meat/veg.

Although I do like Lidl yoghurts .

(I also agree on tinfoil by the way - cheap tinfoil is pointless)

Cordial Juice. Has to be Robinson's.

I used to be a bit of a "grammar nazi", but a combination of my friends telling me to **** and working in an SEN behaviour school pretty much crushed that out of me

Otherwise I'm generally quite back and thrifty!

I am a bin bag snob also - nothing more infuriating than a cheap, thin bin bag that rips as soon as you put something in it .

Will also go one better on the washing up liquid; once you go "fairy platinum" you'll never go back to regular fairy. The absolute boss of washing up liquids. I hate it when I have a washing up liquid emergency and the local shop only has rubbish normal fairy .

Accents.

Even though I am a Geordie myself, I hate Geordie women's voices. They're now used a lot on the radio in adverts and even the GB News reader is a Geordie. Sorry but it's like nails down a blackboard.

Mainly food tbh. If I had to eat something from a Lidl or Aldi you’d think I was taking part in a bushtucker trial.

I like bargains but of good quality, if the item is made cheaply then I dislike it and don't want it e.g

*Weird lasagna not with traditional mince but some odd replacement meat.

* blades that are far too blunt to cut anything.

*And the basic washing up liquid, which was a really thick green gunge substance that reminds me of schools.
