Aw Annie, it's sad enough remembering this devastation from a distance, it must have been emotionally overwhelming to be there today.

RIP all those who passed.

So emotional in Manchester tonight, so many people, laughing, crying and hugging anyone and everyone. Came away a little early so missed the sing along bit but my little boy has school tomorrow. Made me love my city all the more tonight, truly inspirational people.....#mancandproud

I went to the sing along. There was a sodding great tree blocking the screens and the stage was too far away to see but the community spirit shone. I'm a proud Manc tonight.

Manchester Arena Inquiry: ‘Unforgivable' security mistakes

The Security went for Kebabs

[It was a spot the bomber had planned carefully

It was here he waited as parents and families gathered

5 years today!

A grey Tuesday morning, ‘neath Lancastrian skies
We wake once again to wipe tears from our eyes.
Forced to wear robes of weakness ad pity,
As cowards attack the very heart of our city.

Like always, we’ll comfort and hold one another,
A Mancunian family of sisters and brothers.
For a time our strut is reduced to a stagger,
But make no mistake, we’ll rekindle our swagger.

We’ll learn how to live with another deep scar.
If you think you can beat us, you don’t know who we are!

We’re Collyhurst, Ancoats, Moston and Sale.
We’re Oldham and Bury; Ashton; Rochdale.

We’re Pankhurts and Turing, the Gallagher Brothers,
We’re Morrissey, Marr and a million others!

We’re a city of workers, a city of shirkers.
A city of tracksuits, and bibles and burkas.

Vegetarian, Rastafarian, Athiest, Jew.

100 red! 100% blue.

We’re each of us different but never alone.
In the Cosmopolitopia, we get to call ‘home’.

So, come at us again, and again if you must.
Time after time we’ll rise from the dust.
You’ll never prevail – not against us…

This is Manchester, our MANCHESTER
And the bees still buzz!

One of the worst events that has been in my lifetime imo.

Especially thinking of crimes that have happened in the UK in the last 26 years.

Stupid Police Control

There was no more bombs
or attackers

They let people Die
By stopping any entering for 2 hours

Tbf to them it was a stressful situation, I get why the families of the victims are upset, but the Police weren't going out of their way to kill people in this case, they were overly cautious in hindsight.

Unfair, you speak with the benefit of hindsight

A standard terrorist tactic is to detonate a first device, wait for the first responders to attend the scene, and then detonate a secondary device to take them out too. The police could not let anyone in to help until the area was declared clear of secondary devices.

The emergency services have admitted catastrophic errors in handling the emergency, sadly it is too little too late for the victims of the bombing. All we can hope is that if there is ever another situation like this, lessons have been learned.

It must be horrific for the families knowing the failings and they will be devastated and angry.

the problem was that the emergency services already had the benefit of knowledge from previous incidents, but still didnt learn anything

No Sticks
as the Tragedy went down
I knew the police were wrong

No more Explosions
on the live feed.

I was saying Police & Medics should go in,
as the tragedy unfolded

Not on this occasion, but what if there had been a secondary device. This was a standard tactic of the IRA. Sometimes they would kill a soldier and plant explosives to catch the first responders.

Look up the Deal bombings!
