he has obviously thought about it, realised that he could end up getting the blame and headed for the exit. I would probably do the same in those circumstances

To be fair it sounds like a ridiculously pointless job anyway ... and the guy has apparently admitted as much himself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by Zizu; 17-06-2022 at 04:26 PM. |

I was gonna sayz it sounds like one of those pointless "being paid to exist" jobs usually found in a more bloated government, full of redundant wastes of money.

[Lord Geidt has gone into more detail about why he quit,
giving a more robust account of why he resigned as Boris Johnson's ethics adviser. In a letter to Constitutional Affairs Select Committee Chair William Wragg, Lord Geidt said he "could not be party to advising on potential law breaking". He admitted his resignation letter may have been too cautious. Writing to Mr Wragg, Lord Geidt clarifies that focus on steel tariffs as a reason for his departure by others is a "distraction". "Since my letter of resignation was made public yesterday, there has been some confusion about the precise cause of my decision," he said.] https://news.sky.com/story/lord-geid...viser-12635816 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61824796 Last edited by arista; 17-06-2022 at 05:28 PM. |
