[Julian Assange has moved closer
to being extradited from the UK to the US, after the US government won the latest stage in its extradition bid. The US had appealed against a January UK court ruling that the Wikileaks founder could not be extradited due to concerns over his mental health. But judges were reassured by USA promises to reduce the risk of suicide. He is wanted in the US over the publication of thousands of classified documents in 2010 and 2011. Senior judges found the lower judge had based her decision in January on the risk of Mr Assange being held in highly restrictive prison conditions if extradited.] https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59608641 Last edited by arista; 10-12-2021 at 10:12 AM. |

2 London High Court Judges
say they trust the USA to take care of him. Legal Appeals will be ongoing, first. |

Exposing horrific war crimes committed by multiple countries governments should make someone a whistleblower and they should be covered by those protections, this isn’t law being done, this is retribution for someone exposing the crimes of powerful people

This is a message being sent to all Western journalists. Do not expose the mafia or they will ruin you.

he still has an opportunity to appeal extradition, and he then has every opportunity to prove his innocence in a US court. I don't see what the problem is

You made a statement saying that he's a criminal and deserves all he gets. So I think asking you what his crime was Is a reasonable question to ask you.

[Supporters of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange
formed a human chain outside Britain's parliament on Saturday to demand an end to an attempt by the United States to have him extradited to face criminal charges. Hundreds of protesters, including Jeremy Corbyn, the former leader of Britain's opposition Labour Party, gathered in a line which stretched from parliament's perimeter railings and snaked across nearby Westminster Bridge to the other side of the River Thames. Stella Assange, who is married to the Australian-born activist, said the British government should speak to authorities in the United States to end the extradition bid, which was launched in 2019.] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/re...arliament.html |
