Jessica Meuse was robbed.
|
I've watched The Silence Of The Lambs for the first time yesterday.
It's a well made Film, and Hannibal & Buffalo Bill delivered some fun but disturbing performances. Is it gonna go down as one of my favourite Films of all time? No. However it's a Film that anyone who appreciates a well told story should respect at the very least, especially considering nowadays it can be hard to find fiction with any plot at all, it's shocking that a Film from 1991 has more plot than some Films & TV Shows in the 2010's and now. Overall I'd score the Film a 7.5/10 for my own personal enjoyment.

I watched Rise Of The Guardians last night.
It's not one of my favourite DreamWorks Movies, but it's still a decent Film, and I would say that Jude Law's portrayal of Pitch Black was my favourite stuff in the Film. Overall I'd score the Film a 7/10.

Just back from seeing Elvis, I had no idea of his backstory, great movie, was blubbing a bit at the footage of him on stage in Vegas for the last time
10/10 even if you aren't an Elvis fan

Thor : Love & Thunder
I enjoyed it, I like the humour in those films and Chris Hemsworth mmm 7/10 The Black Phone This was an unusual one, I really enjoyed it though, had never heard of it and had no famous actors (oh just realised actually that i forgot Ethan Hawke is in it, he's pretty unrecognisable in it though)but it was really good, bit edge of seat, bit disturbing, bit scary 8/10

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022.
I actually didn't mind it for what it was. Couple of comedic moments too. It was absurdly over the top, but i think that was the point. Spoiler:

Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018)
True story of failing author Lee Israel's infamous forgery of deceased writer's (including Noel Coward and more) personal letters and the repercussions that followed. Didn't know what to expect when I started watching but it was really fantastic, a real dark comedy. Melissa McCarthy plays Israel and Richard E. Grant plays her "friend"/accomplice Jack. Really great movie. McCarthy must do more serious roles. 8/10. Last edited by LaLaLand; 10-10-2022 at 02:25 AM. |
