Default Spain's Pamplona Bull-running Fiesta back with a bang after COVID ban

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe...an-2022-07-06/

Was on WION HD
terrible
they run from the bulls
then spear them.

Its been going on for so long,

[PAMPLONA, Spain July 6 (Reuters) - Thousands
of revellers wearing white clothes and
red scarves filled the streets of
Spain's Pamplona on Wednesday as
the bang of a firecracker kicked off
the first San Fermin bull-running festival
since the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

A light rain did nothing to dampen
the spirits of a sea of people packing
the northern city's Townhall Square,
their clothes already drenched with
the red wine and sangria that
flow freely during the eight-day festival,
made famous by Ernest Hemingway's
novel "The Sun Also Rises".]

There were few positives to the pandemic but cancelling this was one of them

Surely there is another way to celebrate culture rather than have to kill a scared animal. It's the same as people saying fox hunting should be allowed by rich white English men because it's culture. No it's barbaric and unnecessary

I get that, but honestly back in the day people didn't have much to amuse themselves with, times have changed, the bull run would be fine if they didn't end up being stabbed to death

There are eight runs in total, and usually each lasts between three and five minutes. They end at the bullring, where the animals are corralled before reappearing in the evening bullfight, when they are killed.
So they kill 8 bulls.
