[A terraced house in Croydon, south London,
collapsed this morning following a
huge explosion and fire
The fire brigade are searching for a
missing four-year-old girl,
neighbours believe the girl is trapped
(update found dead) (SkyNewsHD)
Residents said they reported a smell
of gas two weeks ago and that they
had been feeling dizzy and sick
Local council declare major incident
as around 40 properties have been
evacuated as a precaution
Local area has been evacuated with
one resident describing explosion as
'the biggest bang you'll ever hear']

Boilers simply do not explode even if they are not maintained, they have many safety measures to stop it. So, someone likely unqualified tried to do something they shouldn't

I haven't used gas in many years. I don't like it. Heard too many gas explosion stories.

One about two miles from where I live.

But you don't have to be a gas customer is suffer from an explosion. You could be living next door to one.

Yes, it now appears to be the Gas Board's Fault

Great so inaction by gas board has destroyed a family.. We smelt gas everytime we passed a particular houseand reported many times ,it wwas about 18mths before they came to dig road up , lucky that house never blew up.

So many residents
could smell Gas.


There were Gas Vans on the road for some time.
