And let's not forget the horde of paps following too

The jury decided on 7 April 2008 that Diana had been unlawfully killed by the "grossly negligent driving of the following vehicles [the paparazzi] and of the Mercedes driver Henri Paul".

All big celebs were at that time. Heaven forbid someone took your picture. She died from not wearing a seatbelt, speed and a driver hopelessly intoxicated who was incapable of driving.

The sad thing is if Diana and Dodi had been wearing seatbelts they would most likely have survived, according to the investigators.
Diana had refused to have proper Royal security as Martin Bashir had made her paranoid by convincing her that they would report every move she made back to the Palace. Those highly trained minders would never have allowed her to be in a moving car without a seatbelt, nor would they have agreed to her leaving the Ritz at all that night in the first place with all the paps crawling about outside.

Another finding was that combined with a quite a steep dip in the road shortly after entering the tunnel and the Mercedes being clipped by a Fiat contributed to Henri Paul losing control of the vehicle. So many things combined to cause Diana’s death….so young and full of life….its very tragic.

i think it actually can all be reduced to not wearing a seat belt, but that isnt a satisfactory outcome from an inquest with the world watching on

Yes she was found down in the footwell having had massive blunt trauma injuries from slamming forwards. With a belt on she would have leg injury but would have lived

Only stating what the official inquest found to be the cause of the crash
There are multiple reasons the crash happened, mainly a drunk driver but had other factors not come into play, she would not have died that night in that tunnel

Also it took a long time for medics to actually arrive to take her to the hospital, and while she was dying the disgusting paparazzi just kept taking photos. I'm sure a witness was saying she didn't understand why they didn't call an ambulance straight away.
