Nice Fresh Food
made there.
Be sad if it does, have to close
Due to no help on the Energy prices
until after Monday 5th Sept.

At £1.95
I would try a Fresh Cup Cake

So apparently Liss Truss is planning on freezing prices of gas to forces energy companies to sell electricity and gas at a loss and is planning a £100b package to stop the UK hitting fuel poverty

Looks like fuel bills will be frozen until the next election....this is not a freebie apparently it will be added to our bills going forward for years p, so will not be paid for by the huge profits of the energy companies who are profiteering from the war

The Lib Dems and Labour are right.
This is a massive crisis now.

It calls for immediate crisis management

The freezing of the cap NOW before the October rise is the way to address the rest of Autumn and Winter 6 months, is the breathing space vital.

Yes, then a plan needs to be brought in for post April with the knowledge of the situation then obviously.

However for this immediate period from now up to April, the freezing of the cap, halting the price increases is the ideal way to ease the tensions, worries and see to the needs right now.

This debate is depressing (not on here), but folks are already struggling so a freeze now will already kill people this winter. Tax the fcuking companies and the rich, don't put a 10-20 year energy mortgage on bills.

A plan provided by energy companies will always be the worst plan to go with, because they only want profits, and nothing must interfere with that goal.

yeah, i agree. The other thing they must do is take energy costs out of the inflation calculations because its making us react monetarily in the wrong way

They're already deadly. If you want to help people, they need to be returned to relative normality, energy companies are making hundreds of billions during this crisis, so they must be made to lose those to ensure folks can survive.

There is a weird game being played at the moment, that the current prices are acceptable. They aren't, so this is what needs to be addressed, rather than tying ourselves in knots to make sure the energy company shareholders get their windfalls.

Playing with peoples lives is not an acceptable role for government, even during the era of capitalism on steroids.
