think Beatrix is also the only former queen present here

back here this morning in my nation

On Monday morning, Noordeinde Palace in The Hague also memorialized the death of Queen Elizabeth. A black ribbon flew above the Dutch royal flag at King Willem-Alexander’s workplace.

This was superb all through.
The actual service in the Abbey seemed to lose its like continuity a bit.

However excellent to see, we have this and do this all so brilliantly, I'd never want that to be lost.

It really touched me.
As all this has since the passing of Her Majesty the late Queen.

It's been a rollercoaster of a couple of weeks.
I always was a Monarchist, I'm certainly even more cemented in my thinking as to that now.
Not that I think all they do is right.
No way.
However I'd hate to think of this Nation under a President.

what has been said before in this thread, a very historic moment this

my own opinion on Queen Lizzie, not to sound like a cliché now but like the song goes, a gracious queen

and i am liking Charles a lot more recently, and him and Camilla make a beautiful couple too, much more natural fitting together rather than him and Diana, i wish him best of luck on his reign as the new monarch and i am interested and curious what he'll do with his charity, pass it onto William or keep it as king's trust since it is a very important charitable cause which he always deeply cared for too, for development and improvement of vulnerable young people in terms of homelessness, mental health

well spoken again from PM Truss as well

busy times for our own King & Queen too, Willem Alexander having his 3rd tuesday of september prinsjesdag speech tomorrow, good he was still able to find the time to attend this funeral alongside his mom and wife

I mean it's ridiculous, but i can understand people having the hump. Now, do they apologise or keep up their story of not jumping the queue?

Also, they skipped an episode of classic Eastenders because it had the death of a very minor character, not even on screen.

Hopefully energy and fuel prices drop now as a mark of respect to the Queen. I wonder if those OAPs in their dingy one bed flats wear black when trying not to freeze to death this winter.

Hundreds of millions well spent on this 12 day event imo.

The world doesn’t work the way you think

People don’t work for nothing even those collecting for charity get paid.

David D saying St Georges Chapel will be more of a family funeral and then you find Tony Blair et al have been bussed from Westminster

Tbh I am finding all the marching a bit much, its far too impersonal, same thing over and over again
